WEBSITE PROTOTYPING
One of the key projects I worked on was designing a prototype website for Sherbet Donkey, a business with a strong sales focus aimed at driving potential clients to engage and get in touch. The brief required me to create a website prototype that balanced UX and UI considerations while also being creative and visually appealing. The goal was to design a user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing site that would resonate with business owners, the target audience, and encourage them to take action.
Upon reviewing the existing website, I identified several key issues, particularly with the navigation and information overload. The site was cluttered with too much text, making it difficult for users to quickly find what they needed. One of the most significant issues I discovered was confusion around the call-to-action buttons. Terms like "Require an Audit," "Book an Appointment," and "Receive a Proposal" were unclear and not intuitive for users, which could potentially lead to a loss of interest from visitors.
To address these issues, I focused on simplifying the user journey and improving the clarity of the calls to action. I created a streamlined booking system that allowed potential clients to easily schedule an online appointment for a Teams chat. I also added a section for those who simply wanted to inquire, providing clear contact information without overwhelming the user. This redesign aimed to reduce friction and encourage more conversions by making it easier for users to take the next step in engaging with the business. Ultimately, the goal was to ensure that the website was not only functional but also efficient in driving the desired outcomes for Sherbet Donkey.
