REBRANDING, DESIGN, PRINT AND DIGITAL
One of my most rewarding projects involved working with a historical village in need of revitalisation, with the aim of bringing it back into the spotlight and showcasing its full potential. Kinver, a charming village with rich history, offers a variety of experiences, from its independent shops to picturesque countryside walks. However, upon reviewing their existing website, it became clear that it lacked crucial information about local events, shops, and cafes, making it difficult for potential visitors to fully appreciate what Kinver had to offer.
To better understand the needs of the community, I visited Kinver and spoke with local shop owners. I discovered that many people were bypassing the village on their way to the National Trust Rock Houses, overlooking the wonderful independent businesses and attractions in the town itself. This insight became the focal point of my project: I wanted to create an online presence that highlighted Kinver’s hidden gems and the vibrant local culture. Many of the independent cafes in the village source their ingredients from local farmers, which was an important story to tell. I realised this could be a unique selling point for the village, connecting visitors with its local produce and community spirit.
To bring this vision to life, I updated the website to provide comprehensive information about Kinver’s main attractions, events, and historical landmarks. By making these features easy to navigate and visually engaging, the site now acts as a virtual guide to the village, inviting both locals and tourists to explore its offerings. My goal was to not only boost foot traffic but to celebrate the local businesses and history that make Kinver such a special place. This project reinforced my passion for using design and digital platforms to support local communities and enhance their presence in an increasingly digital world.

I chose to make this my focal point, I wanted to showcase what Kinver has to offer. Many of the independent cafes produce comes from local farmers. For this I decided to update the website to identify Kinver’s main attractions, events and historical landmarks.
