DESIGN AND PRINT
I was employed as a freelancer to create a series of private tutor maths worksheets that combined creative design with a strong focus on accessibility. These worksheets were carefully crafted to work seamlessly in both PowerPoint format for digital teaching and as A4 printouts for hands-on learning. From choosing dyslexia-friendly fonts and accessible colour palettes to fine-tuning typographic spacing (including line height and leading), every element was considered to support learners of all abilities. The result was a set of visually clear, easy-to-follow resources that made maths feel less intimidating and more approachable.
Of course, maths doesn't have to be dull, so I brought in a good dose of creativity (and a touch of humour) by introducing playful, themed characters such as aliens, magical gems, and other fun figures. These cheeky additions weren’t just for decoration, they were cleverly woven into story-based problems and visual prompts to keep young minds engaged and entertained. By blending imaginative storytelling with accessible design, the worksheets offered a fresh take on traditional maths practice, making the subject feel not only manageable but genuinely enjoyable.
