I returned to the University of Wolverhampton for Venture Crawl, part of Venture Day, to deliver a session to Level 6 students. The talk focused on my journey from completing an MSc in Digital Marketing Management to freelancing, and how this experience evolved into establishing Hayward Social Studio.
The session explored practical strategies for gaining experience during university, building confidence through freelance work, and taking the steps to launch a creative business. It concluded with a Q&A, allowing students to engage directly and explore different perspectives on entrepreneurship and careers in the creative sector.
One student shared their feedback on LinkedIn:
"This week we got the chance to talk with Phoebe Hayward (MSc, BA), who studied at the University of Wolverhampton and started her own company, Hayward Social Studio, to follow her passion. Her speech was really inspiring for students in the final year of their studies. She is an amazing graphic designer and shared her journey from student to founder of her own company. I would love to share my journey like hers one day."
